The builders have been busy this week starting on the changes to our classroom block.

Flag Referendum

Well, it looks like the Year 3 children were spot on. Who needs a nationwide referendum - just ask Year 3 at St Albans School!

Beach Ed at South Brighton

Breaking Waves tumbling us over and over
Eating crunchy sandwiches at the park
Aching bodies, exhausted children, noisy bus ride
Changing rooms, clothing scattered
Hoardes of seagulls, squawking on the blue horizon

Athletics Day

Don't forget it is Athletics Day on Monday.

You need:  house colours sports clothes (no spaghetti strap tops please)
                  a warm sweatshirt (just in case)
                  running shoes
                  sun hat
                  sun block (already on plus some more to put on later)
                 NAMED drink bottle full of water

It is going to be a great day!

Swimming Update

Yahoo! We are very excited that the school pool is open now. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible. Our scheduled times are 9:30am on Tuesdays and 2pm on Thursdays. Swimming is part of the curriculum and children are expected to get in the water during each session. If you are not swimming I need a written note or email from your mum or dad please.

Remember to bring your togs, towel and goggles if you need them, all named of course, and in a waterproof bag large enough to hold all your clothes while you are swimming. It is a good idea to bring your togs everyday though, as we can sometimes join another class or take up unused time slots.
