Assembly Term 4 Week 2

Thank you to Room 17 for hosting the assembly this week. Congratulations to Asher, Charles and Ruby who were awarded certificates. Keep up the great work everybody. Our class spies will be out checking cloakrooms before the next assembly to see who deserves the Heather Trophy in Week 4.

Assembly - Term 3 Week 6

We were very proud to host the Year 3 assembly on Wednesday and enjoyed sharing our Sock Puppet Dragons and Maui & the Sun pictures. After some hard work, and many reminders, we were finally awarded the Heather Trophy for the tidiest cloakroom. Remember to keep those bags zipped and coats hung up. Special congratulations to Cooper, Angel and Charles who received certificates. Well done everyone.

Assembly Term 2, Week 8

We hosted the Year 3 assembly in Room 18 today and ended it with a team Jump Jam session since it was pleasant and warm. There were some great movers out there and it has been great to see your technique improving now that we are doing Jump Jam for one of the fitness rotations.

Assembly Term 2, Week 2

This afternoon we hosted the Year 3 assembly. We worked hard to finish our poppy art paintings to share with everyone. Below are a couple of examples, the rest are on display in the classroom. Congratulations to Evie, Erin and Ollie who were awarded certificates.

Term 1 Week 7 Assembly

Thank you to Room 17 for hosting the Year 3 assembly on Friday. We are very keen to learn the new songs you taught us and there was lots of humming and singing as we made our way back to class.

Congratulations to Room 17 who won the Heather Trophy for the tidiest cloakroom. We are determined to win it next time. We will need to make sure that everything is hanging on the hooks, all the time, and there is no rubbish lying about. Remember to zip up your bag so stuff doesn't get accidentally knocked out of your bag onto the floor.

Well done Reza. Aoife and Jonty who received certificates at assembly for great work and a terrific attitude towards their learning. Keep up the wonderful work.

Term 1, Week 5 Highlights

It has been another busy week in Room 18. Our writing frames are finished and showcase our great senses poems from Aquagym. Come and check them out.

On Wednesday we hosted the Year 3 assembly were we shared some of our published writing. Congratulations to Henry T, Tayla and Angel who received certificates and to Room 17 who were awarded the Heather Trophy for the tidiest cloakroom.

This week we been working on our Tagxedo art. Once we have brainstormed our words, we are teaching each other how to use this great programme. Here are some of the finished tagxedos now on display in the classroom. See if you can work out who the author/artist is from the words, colour and shapes chosen.

The News Reporters shared some special items with us on Friday. Finn brought in a remote controlled tarantula which caused quite a stir.

On Friday, Room 18 made musical instruments out of recycled 'junk'. What an amazing range of sounds you could make. Aoife, Charlotte, Jesse Kacey and Tayla formed a band and gave an impromptu performance. Click on the image to hear the music and keep an eye out for their debut album!

Year 3 Assembly - Term 1, Week 3

Thank you to Room 16 who hosted the Year 3 assembly on Wednesday. We enjoyed listening to your "Who Am I?" writing and trying to guess who it was. Your tagxedo art was inspiring and we are looking forward to making our own this week.
