Myth, Legend, Fable, Tall Tale or Fairy Tale?
Listen to and read a variety of stories online (links below), from your own collection, the classroom library and the public library, then see if you can work out whether it is a myth, a legend, a fable, a tall tale or a fairy tale. Ask Mum, Dad or your Grandparents to share some stories with you that they were told when they were children. Oral stories are a very important part of our different cultures and many of these stories were passed on from generation to generation by word of mouth.
