Aoife, Charlotte, Cooper and Erin worked hard to produce some lovely poems in the Poetry Workshop today. I love the images their words conjure up in my mind. Great work kids.

Remembering Term Two

On restful holiday days …
My heart remembers the interesting letters from the World’s Apart show.
My nose remembers the sweet smell of chocolate at maths.
My hands remember stroking the paint on my Starry Night picture.
My feet remember jumping the long skipping rope with Wendy and Mrs D.
My mouth remembers the sweet taste of Anzac biscuits.
My legs remember lying on the bean bags with a book and being lazy.
My mind remembers that school
will be back again soon.

The Tryathlon
By Emily

Today is the tryathlon. Yay! I am extremely excited. I rode my bike to school then I set it up and Mum said "Goodbye".

In the Tryathlon there are 3 events; swimming biking and running, but ours will go in a different order. We will do two laps of biking around the field then running down and around the junior classes and back to the middle school. There we take off our clothes, luckily we have our togs on underneath, and run to the pool. When we get out of the pool, we run through Room 19 and get changed.

I can't wait until the Tryathlon starts!

I just did my Tryathlon and I am feeling worn out because the tryathlon was soo tiring. It was easy biking and running but when I was nearly finished doing my run my throat felt a bit sore - but I was nearly there so I kept going. When I got to my bag I took my shoes and top off and ran to the pool and splashed to the other end. Then I walked to Room 18 to get changed. I felt knackered and also proud because I did it! I can't wait until the next Tryathlon.

The Sea
By Cooper

The sea, the sea
The wonderful sea.
With all the fish swimming all around
In the waves, splish and splash!
When I see the sea and the sea sees me
I say HOORAY!!!!
